2019 graduates of the NC State University MFA in Creative Writing Program present readings from their work. Past years’ MFA graduates have gone on to win the APR/Honickman First Book Prize, the Nebula Award, the Masters Review Anthology Prize, and the World Science Fiction Award and receive a Provincetown Fellowship, NC Arts Council Fellowship, Fulbright Scholarship, and Ron Wallace Poetry Fellowship, among other honors.

Documentary Premiere: “The Romey Lynchings”

vMLK Project: 60th Anniversary of a Creative Protest Exhibition

This event will immerse community members in one of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s most iconic speeches, which was delivered on Feb. 16, 1960 at White Rock Baptist Church in Durham. You will be able to virtually walk around the historic sanctuary, hear a re-creation of King’s speech and virtually sit with congregation members.
